TECNIDEX will present its new sustainable and eco-friendly postharvest products at Fruit Logistica 2017
The company has incorporated four major innovations into its wide-ranging catalogue for improving fruit conservation, with no residue that devalue its marketability: the® COAD, Textar® PURE AIR, CONTROL-TEC® CAM PURE AIR and Teycer® C CITRUS LEAF ranges.
The main fruit trade fair, Fruit Logistica, will again be the platform at which TECNIDEX will publicise its latest innovations in products and technologies, ones which will be included in its already wide-ranging catalogue for the protection of postharvest fruit and vegetables.
TECNIDEX’s new range of products and technologies will comprise novel chemical and technological solutions whose function is to protect fruit from both micro-organisms that cause postharvest diseases and physiological disorders that can diminish the quality and taste of fruit, at the same time being residue-free.
In Berlin, from 8 to 10 February, TECNIDEX, FRUIT PROTECTION, which will be alongside GLOBALG.A.P. in pavilion 5.2, stand D-07, will present the best range of solutions for postharvest fruit and vegetables, including its four latest innovations.
In the Textar® line of Fruit Protection Products, the novelties are the Textar® COAD and the Textar® PURE AIR range.
The Textar® COAD range includes products with a technological action during the hygienization and disinfection processes for both fruit (citrus, peppers and tomatoes) on arrival at the warehouse and the rinsing water.
Their continued use together with other CONTROLTEC technological solutions enables the microbiological quality of the process waters to be maintained and reused, minimizing effluents and optimizing water consumption during the preparation processes of citrus fruits, peppers and tomatoes. Furthermore, this range does not give rise to cross-resistance, thus guaranteeing maximum agri-food safety.
Textar® PURE AIR, is a new formulation which eliminates ethylene using an absorption technique, prolonging the life of fruit in its conservation and logistic processes, enabling it to reach the final consumer in perfect condition. It is a product developed under maximum food safety conditions, which leaves no residue on fruit and is highly recommended for fruit that has to undergo long journeys or that is very sensitive to ethylene. This formulation is designed to be used during long distance transport, either in combination with the new CONTROL-TEC® CAM PURE AIR purification and sterilization equipment.
In the CONTROL-TEC®technology line, the company will publicize its innovative CONTROL-TEC® CAM PURE AIR, equipment, a new air purification system for cold stores incorporating two techniques, sterilization and absorption. This allows the pathogens in cold store air to be reduced, at the same time decreasing the amount of ethylene, providing optimum conservation in a purified atmosphere without fungi and without leaving residue of any kind on fruit.
This system has a range of equipment that can be adapted to cold stores of different sizes, a particular feature is that it can work continuously, with a very low level of electricity consumption, enabling our customers to use it in cold stores with a continuous flow of incoming and outgoing movements of fruit.
In the Teycer®line of waxes, detergents and coatings, TECNIDEX incorporates the new Teycer® C CITRUS LEAF, a special wax-based formulation which helps maintain the freshness of fruit with leaves, increasing its shine, avoiding weight loss and prolonging its life. Likewise, included in the new wax catalogue, the ranges designed specifically for different fruits such as the special formulations Teycer® C AVOCADO WAX, Teycer® C MANGO WAX and la Teycer® C APPLE WAX. It is important to highlight that all these new formulations have been created with a view to improving the look of the fruit and prolonging its life without adding residue to the fruit which lowers its market value.
Besides these latest innovations, TECNIDEX also has exclusive products in its postharvest fungicide catalogue, among these can be highlightedScholar®, , a high-efficiency fungicide as a result of the collaboration with the world leader Syngenta, for controlling the main postharvest fungi and which is authorized worldwide for practically every kind of fruit. Another of the exclusive products is Bravatia®, developed in collaboration with ADAMA, indicated for the control of a wide range of pathogenic fungi, including Geotrichum candidum in citrus fruits, involving a differential value and making this product the great ally of citrus health.
TECNIDEX, specialist in citrus treatments and a referent in persimmon, a fruit with a stone and seeds, also has other safe and efficient formulations, as well as innovative technologies for protecting fruit and vegetables from the time they are harvested until they reach the consumer. Furthermore, the company has a great technical team that helps its clients anywhere in the world, VÍA-VERDE®, advising them about the various aspects of its postharvest activity.
TECNIDEX has its headquarters in Valencia (Spain) but has an important international presence, exporting to more than 30 countries and with 100%-owned companies in Morocco, Turkey, South Africa, Italy, Greece and Peru (2017).
