Very positive report for TECNIDEX at Fruit Logistica 2017
TECNIDEX has presented its latest ECO innovations for improving residue-free fruit conservation at Fruit Logistica, among these can be highlighted the Textar® COAD, the Textar® PURE AIR range, CONTROL-TEC® CAM PURE AIR and Teycer® C CITRUS LEAF.
TECNIDEX FRUIT PROTECTION’s participation at the 2017 edition has received a very positive report. The company, which has been present in Berlin under the auspices of GLOBALG.A.P., has received numerous visits by representatives from different countries at its stand and the response from the sector to the innovations presented during the fair has been unsurpassable.
This major event has been the perfect scenario for presenting the innovations in TECNIDEX’s already wide range of products. In the phytosanitary and phytochemical product lines, Textar®, has highlighted its new Textar® COADrange, which includes products whose actions are very efficient during the sanitization and disinfection processes both of fruit (citric, peppers and tomatoes) on arrival at the warehouse and its rinsing water.
Their continued use together with other CONTROL-TEC® echnological solutions enables the microbiological quality of the process waters to be maintained and reused, minimizing effluents and optimizing consumption during the processes of preparation of citrus fruits, peppers and tomatoes. Furthermore, this range does not give rise to cross-resistance, thus guaranteeing maximum agri-food safety and by not adding any residue it has no negative impact on the commercial value of the fruit.
The other great innovation of this line is the Textar® PURE AIR range, new formulations that eliminate ethylene using an absorption technique, thus prolonging the life of fruit in its conservation and logistic processes, enabling it to reach the final consumer in perfect condition. These are products which leave no residue on fruit and which are highly recommended for fruit that has to undergo long journeys or that is very sensitive to ethylene. These formulations can be used in combination with the new CONTROL-TEC® CAM PURE AIR, air purification and sterilization equipment, another novelty from the company.
CONTROL-TEC® CAM PURE AIR is an air purification system for cold stores incorporating two techniques, sterilization and absorption. This allows the pathogens (fungi and bacteria) in cold store air to be reduced, at the same time decreasing the amount of ethylene, providing optimum conservation in a purified atmosphere and leaving no residue of any kind on fruit.
This system has a range of equipment that can be adapted to cold stores of different sizes, a particular feature is that it can work continuously, with a very low level of electricity consumption, enabling our customers to use it in cold stores with a continuous flow of incoming and outgoing movements of fruit.
In the line of waxes, detergents and coatings (Teycer®), TECNIDEX has presented the new Teycer® C CITRUS LEAF, a special wax-based formulation which helps maintain the freshness of fruit with leaves, increasing its shine, avoiding weight loss and prolonging its life. Likewise, ranges designed specifically for different fruits such as the special formulations Teycer® C AVOCADO WAX, Teycer® C MANGO WAX y la Teycer® C APPLE WAX. have been included in the new catalogue of waxes. It is important to highlight that all these new formulations have been created with a view to improving the look of the fruit and prolonging its life, as well as reducing dehydration and skin staining, without adding residue to the fruit which lowers its market value.
Besides these latest innovations, TECNIDEX also has exclusive products in its postharvest fungicide catalogue, among these can be highlighted Scholar® for the control of the main postharvest fungi which is authorized worldwide for practically all fruit; and Bravatia® indicated for the control of a wide range of pathogenic fungi, including Geotrichum candidum which makes it the great ally of healthy citrus fruits.
The strong and constant commitment to innovation has enabled TECNIDEX to make a difference yet another year and conclude its participation at this event with a wide range of food health and safety solutions for the postharvest sector.
TECNIDEX has its headquarters in Valencia (Spain) but has an important international presence, exporting to more than 30 countries and with 100%-owned companies in Morocco, Turkey, South Africa, Italy, Greece and Peru (2017).
